3D RPG Game Demo
A four weeks assignment for level design class. All design and scripting work was done by myself. In this game, I focus on designing a convincing medieval level.
I made the terrain, buildings and props with unreal brush tool. In this way, environment artist can easily figure out the shape, scale and place of those models.
In this game, I also made simple quest system and AI system. Players can get soldiers and weapons from the quests.
Medieval Castle
The game starts in a huge castle. The enemies surrounded the castle and blocks every road. The player has to find a way kill the enemy's lead and force them to retreat.


Quest
There are other soldiers in the castle. They have different quests for the player. These quests can help the player get closer to the main quest step by step.
Stealth
Each enemy has its own patrol path. Players can take advantage of that and avoid combats. The enemy AI has three states: patrolling, chasing and searching.


Reward
Player can get rewards from quests: more soldiers or better weapons. Those things can greatly improve the player's strength.
Team Fight
The player can give commands to soldiers. Let them follow or charge. Soldiers are very important in this game. It's hard to kill the boss alone.


The Boss
Kill the boss and all other enemies will fall back to their camp.
